What frightens The sun has turned deadly and the world only lives at night, when the Visitors come. They look, talk and smell like people. Strangers knock and beg to be let in, and you must decide who to shelter, look for the signs the TV warns about, and choose whether to use the shotgun, knowing a mistake may kill a human or let something else sleep in your house.

Content: violence, shooting people, disturbing faces and imagery, gore.

No, I'm not a Human is a first-person anxiety horror game from Trioskaz, published by Critical Reflex. The sun has made the days deadly, and at night strangers knock asking for shelter, but some of them are Visitors who only look human. You check your guests for the signs the TV warns about and decide who stays and who gets the shotgun.

About No, I'm not a Human

No, I'm not a Human is a horror game by the studio Trioskaz, published by Critical Reflex, the label behind Buckshot Roulette and Mouthwashing. It came out on Steam for Windows on 15 September 2025. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions were announced but had no release date when this page was written.

The world is ending. The sun has scorched the streets and leaving the house by day is death, so people live by night, and the night belongs to the Visitors: things that look, talk and smell like humans. You stay inside your house with the doors locked and the blinds closed. Each night there is a knock and a voice begging for refuge, and isolation is not an option, because alone you will be overwhelmed.

The game is about judgement. Each day a TV broadcast describes signs of a Visitor, such as flawless white teeth, dirt under the fingernails or bloodshot eyes. You let guests in, hear their stories and, with a small amount of energy each day, examine them up close. Some will help you, some need help, and some are Visitors. When you decide someone is not human you can shoot them or listen to them argue for their life. The guests change from one playthrough to the next, and the mistakes you make shape which ending you reach.

Its look is drawn and stylised, with grotesque, uncanny faces in cold green night light, and critics have compared its structure to Papers, Please. It suits players who like slow, tense decisions, paranoia and moral weight more than chases or combat.

Tips

  • Write down the signs from each broadcast; they add up over the days.
  • Do not trust one sign on its own; look for several before you act.
  • Your energy is limited, so choose which guests to examine first.
  • Listen to what guests say; some will be useful to keep around.
