What frightens A normal night with friends turns into a run through a house where every room may hold something that wants you dead: Ester the Throat-Cutter with bleeding hearts hanging around her, a two-headed skull horse, a girl from a previous timeline with a bloody knife, and the No-Skin Man behind it all. Grainy dark photographs serve as the backgrounds, voices whisper lines like "I can't stop thinking abou
Content: disturbing images, violence, gore, themes of suicide, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.
NO-SKIN is a horror roguelike RPG with pixel art characters over dark photographic backgrounds. What began as a normal night with friends turns twisted, and you go room by room through a house, fighting, talking, trading and praying for one more turn, to find out who the No-Skin Man is.
About NO-SKIN
NO-SKIN is a horror roguelike by the small studio NoEye-Soft, first released on Steam for Windows in February 2025. Feardemic published it on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch in March 2026.
The set-up is short and strange: what started as a normal night with your friends has become something far more twisted, and you have to face the horrors lurking around the house and discover who the No-Skin Man truly is. Each run takes you deeper through the house's rooms, where you meet monsters, killers and odd figures. You can fight them in turn-based combat with weapons such as a knife or a gun that each have their own accuracy and damage, try to talk, trade with a shopkeeper for strange pills, nightshade, cigarettes and ammunition, or try to escape when the odds look bad.
The look is what most players remember: hand-drawn pixel art characters and items placed over grainy, dim photographs of real rooms, with blood-red text and sparse, unsettling lines of dialogue. The maker warns of disturbing images, violence, gore, themes of suicide and the use of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. You play as different characters, unlock new content between runs and collect lunar fragments for permanent upgrades, and players say the story has more layers than it first appears.
It suits players who like dark roguelikes and turn-based horror RPGs such as WORLD OF HORROR or Look Outside, and who do not mind losing runs. Some reviewers found the loop grindy, while most praise its atmosphere and its mystery.

Tips
- Do not trust a high hit chance; players warn that even a 90% attack can miss.
- Keep a healing item in reserve before entering a new room.
- Ammunition is limited, so save the gun for threats the knife cannot handle.
- Escaping has low odds against some enemies, so decide early whether a fight is worth it.
- Pay attention to the strange lines and items; the story goes deeper than the first run shows.
