SCP: Labrat is a free recreation of SCP – Containment Breach by Bezbro Games. As a test subject in an underground SCP facility you try to escape after a containment breach, alone or with others online, in VR with a full body or on a normal screen.

About SCP: Labrat

SCP: Labrat is a free horror game by Bezbro Games, released on Steam in December 2022. It is a recreation of SCP – Containment Breach, the 2012 horror game by Undertow Games based on the stories of the SCP Foundation, the collaborative online fiction about a secret organisation that contains anomalous objects and creatures.

You are a test subject in an underground SCP facility. When a containment breach occurs, the things kept there get out, and you have to find your own way to the surface. On the way you escape the SCPs, discover anomalous objects and collect valuable resources.

It follows the original game's play and adds to it: new SCPs, items and events alongside the originals, reworked versions of the original assets, and a multiplayer mode next to singleplayer. It was built for VR, where your player has a full body and physics interaction with the world. Steam lists VR as supported rather than required, and the developers have added desktop play, with cross-play between VR and non-VR players in multiplayer.

It suits players who know Containment Breach and want to face its creatures in a headset, and groups who want to try the escape together.

How to play SCP: Labrat

Download it free on Steam for Windows.
Launch it in VR with a SteamVR headset, or in desktop mode on a normal screen.
Choose singleplayer, or join others online in multiplayer; VR and desktop players can play together.
After the breach, search the facility for a way out, escaping the SCPs and picking up objects and resources as you go.

On Quest, the developers distribute a version through SideQuest rather than the Meta store; on Steam it runs on PC VR headsets.
