Content: light gore, blood, violence.

SCP: Observer is a free horror game where you play a maintenance engineer trapped in a security room during an SCP containment breach. You survive until the Nine-Tailed Fox task force arrives by managing the emergency power, watching the facility's cameras and blocking the paths of escaped SCPs.

About SCP: Observer

SCP: Observer is a free horror game by Maximilian Fischer, released on Steam in April 2023. It is set in the SCP Foundation, the collaborative online horror fiction about a secret organisation that contains anomalous creatures and objects, and its formula is that of Five Nights at Freddy's: a small room, a bank of cameras and not enough power.

You are a maintenance engineer trapped inside a security room. The mobile task force Nine-Tailed Fox is on its way to rescue you and the other survivors; until it arrives, you manage the emergency power supply, scan the cameras for threats and close security doors to block what is coming.

There are two zones to play. The Light Containment Zone holds lower-level SCPs such as SCP-173 and SCP-914 in high concrete halls; the Heavy Containment Zone holds SCP-106 and SCP-049 among grimy tunnels and catwalks. The store lists the ones you face, from the statue that moves when unseen and the shy figure you must not look at, to SCP-079, an AI that can turn the facility's doors against you. Official scenarios and customisable difficulty let you set the challenge.

It suits players who like FNAF's camera-and-door tension and know the SCP stories from SCP – Containment Breach.

How to play SCP: Observer

  1. Pick a zone and a scenario, or set your own difficulty.
  2. Flip through the facility cameras to track where each SCP is.
  3. Close security doors and use your tools to block an SCP's path before it reaches you.
  4. Keep the emergency power from running out until the Nine-Tailed Fox arrives.

Tips

  • Learn each SCP's rule; the store warns you not to look at SCP-096.
  • Do not leave doors closed longer than you need: power is limited.
  • Watch for SCP-079, which can turn the facility's systems against you.
