Fazbear Nights is a fan game by TSEG, with Galaxyi as co-developer and animatronic models by Rynfox, released free on Game Jolt in April 2022 and updated to version 3.0.3 in May 2024. It is made in Unreal Engine 5 and downloads for Windows, with an older Linux build kept in a classic package.

The letter that opens it welcomes you back to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as its new security guard. Since your last visit, the staff say, they actually got their paychecks, and there are brand new systems for your job; but the bills still need paying, so your power is limited, and you should use it wisely.

The maker lists free roaming, security cameras, security doors, increasing difficulty, a brand new Freddy Fazbear's building, five nights plus a custom night, lots of jumpscares, post-game challenge modes and hidden easter eggs, and adds that you can honk Freddy's nose. The screenshots show the realistic look: a camera map over a dim arcade with the power level in the corner, a cluttered office with a CELEBRATE poster, and Freddy, Bonnie and Chica on a dark stage. The maker insists it is not a remake of the original, with its own layout and map.

It suits FNAF fans who want the original band in a modern, realistic setting, with more freedom to move than the first game allowed.

How to play Fazbear Nights

1. Download Fazbear Nights from its Game Jolt page and run it on Windows (a Linux build of an older version is also offered).
2. Start the first night as the pizzeria's security guard.
3. Check the security cameras to see where the animatronics are.
4. Close the security doors when they come close, but ration the limited power.
5. Survive five nights of rising difficulty, then try the custom night and the challenges.

Tips

• Power is limited, so use it wisely, as the opening letter warns.
• Use the camera map to learn the new building's layout; it is not the original's.
• Look for the hidden easter eggs and events the maker mentions, and honk Freddy's nose.
