What frightens Lifelike, furry versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy stalk a redesigned pizzeria, each with its own way to reach and kill you, while you track them on a flickering office computer and work the doors and power on a rusted control panel behind your chair, with spatial audio telling you where they are.

Content: jumpscares, loud sounds.

Next Week at Freddy's is a free, realism-based fan reimagining of Five Nights at Freddy's, made in Unreal Engine 5. You survey a redesigned pizzeria from your office, keep the facilities running and keep intruders out, while smarter versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy each find their own ways to reach you.

About Next Week at Freddy's

Next Week at Freddy's was made by rynfox with wreck9999, MisterMacabre, MitusGame, Astildi and TheGoldenRob, and released on Game Jolt in December 2024. It is a free download for Windows, built in Unreal Engine 5 with enhanced graphics and spatial audio.

It starts from the first Five Nights at Freddy's and redesigns it around realism. The building is a larger, expanded map, and the animatronics no longer roam aimlessly: the makers say Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy each have a unique way to make your night more stressful, and smarter AI gives them several ways to reach and kill you.

Your tools are physical. An old beige computer on a cluttered desk runs the camera feed, a map of the building and a power warning when an application draws too much. A heavy control panel sits directly behind you, with levers for doors and lights, compressor and power, gauges and status lights. Survey the building, keep the facilities running and keep intruders out. Chica, with her Let's Eat bib, may already be in the doorway when you turn around.

It suits FNAF fans who want the original's night shift rebuilt with modern graphics and a more mechanical, hands-on office.

How to play Next Week at Freddy's

  1. Download Next Week at Freddy's free from its Game Jolt page and run it on Windows.
  2. Use the office computer to check the cameras and the map of where the animatronics are headed.
  3. Turn to the control panel behind you to work the doors, lights and power.
  4. Keep the facilities running and keep the animatronics out until the night ends.

Tips

  • Listen: the game uses spatial audio to tell you where things are moving.
  • Learn each animatronic's way of reaching you; the makers say they all behave differently.
  • Watch the power warning; some computer applications draw heavy power.
  • Use the map on the camera screen to see where each mascot is heading.
