What frightens Withered animatronics creep down a dark factory hallway toward your desk; you track them on a phone's cameras, flash the corridor and ring phones in other rooms to lure them off before they reach you.

Content: jumpscares, loud sounds.

A free fan-made sequel to Five Nights at Candy's by Emil "Ace" Macko. Marylin Schmidt spends five nights in an abandoned animatronic factory on a dare, watching cameras on her phone and luring broken robot mascots away from her desk before they reach the end of the hallway.

About Five Nights at Candy's 2

Five Nights at Candy's 2 is the 2016 sequel to Emil "Ace" Macko's Five Nights at Candy's, one of the best known fan games built on the Five Nights at Freddy's formula. It is free on Game Jolt for Windows, where it has drawn tens of thousands of followers.

The story moves from the first game's restaurant to an abandoned robot factory. Marylin Schmidt, seventeen, loses a bet and is dared to spend five nights there. The old animatronics of Candy's Burgers and Fries are waiting, rebuilt and then left to rot: Candy and Cindy the cats, Chester, the Penguin and others.

There is no office with doors this time. You sit at a desk at the end of a long hallway with only your phone. Its light reveals the corridor in front of you, its screen shows the factory's cameras, and each room has a telephone you can ring to draw a robot toward the noise and away from you. Each animatronic needs its own answer: one you can only hear as clashing metal, one that can knock out your view, one that has to be redirected over the PA before it reaches the hall. Survive from midnight to 6 AM and the night ends.

Between nights, short minigames show the animatronics moving through the old restaurant, piecing together what happened there. The fear is the FNAF kind: long silences, sounds you have to place, and a face at the end of the corridor when you look up from the screen too late.

How to play Five Nights at Candy's 2

  1. Download the free Windows build from the game's Game Jolt page and unzip it.
  2. At the start of each night, flash your phone's light down the hallway to see whether anything is coming.
  3. Open the phone to watch the factory cameras and find where each animatronic is.
  4. Ring the phone in a room to lure a robot there, away from the hallway, without leaving it ringing too long.
  5. Keep checking the hallway and the cameras in turn until the clock reaches 6 AM.

Tips

  • Learn each animatronic's sound: some never show on camera and can only be tracked by ear.
  • Ringing one room's phone for too long lets the robot there disable it, so use short calls.
  • New threats arrive on later nights; play the early nights to learn the rhythm of checking the hall.
