Ultimate Custom Night is a game by Scott Cawthon released free on Steam in June 2018. Clickteam brought it to Android and iOS in 2020 and to Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in 2021, where it is paid.

Its store page calls it a FNAF mashup. Once again you are trapped alone in an office fending off killer animatronics, but now you choose them: 50 characters from seven Five Nights at Freddy's games, each with a difficulty you set from 0 to 20. You can pick a handful and learn how they move, or fill the board and see how long you last.

From your desk you manage two side doors, two vents and two air hoses, all leading straight into the office. On top of that come a heater, an A/C, a global music box, a power generator and more, laser traps to set in the vents, Faz-Coins to collect and spend at the prize counter, and two Pirate Cove curtains to keep an eye on. Each animatronic needs its own answer, and the tools compete for your power and your attention.

There is a challenge menu with sixteen themed challenges, voice acting from returning and new characters, and office skins and cutscenes to unlock. It suits FNAF players who want a test of skill and memory more than a story.

How to play Ultimate Custom Night

1. Pick the animatronics you want to face and set each one's difficulty from 0 to 20, or choose one of the sixteen challenges.
2. Start the night in the office and watch the two doors, two vents and two air hoses.
3. Use the cameras, heater, A/C, music box and generator as each animatronic requires.
4. Set laser traps in the vents and collect Faz-Coins to spend at the prize counter.
5. Survive until the night ends, then raise the difficulty or add more characters.

Tips

• Start with a few animatronics at low difficulty and learn what each one needs before adding more.
• Watch your power and noise; many tools use both.
• Keep checking both Pirate Cove curtains.
• Use the challenge menu for themed sets of characters once you know the basics.
