What frightens You walk the dim, looping rooms of a late-90s apartment by flashlight, looking for what has changed: a glowing clock, words scrawled on a wall, a corridor drowned in red. Each anomaly has to be caught on camera and named. Meanwhile entities shaped like a child's toys, such as a red-eyed jester doll, roam the loops, and each has its own rules you must learn to survive it.

Content: monsters that chase and kill you, monsters can be switched off in the options, according to pl.

CAPTURED 2 is a first-person anomaly horror game with a VHS look. Emily, a teenage girl who went missing, is stuck in an endless hallway inside her own apartment; you spot strange changes, capture them on camera, and survive entities shaped like her childhood toys to find a way out.

About CAPTURED 2

CAPTURED 2 is an anomaly horror game by Puck Redflix, published by Puck Games and released on Steam for Windows in April 2026. It follows Emily, a teenager who vanished during a run of unexplained disappearances and wakes up trapped in an endless hallway inside her own apartment, slowly losing her memory.

The core is spot the difference with a camera. You walk through rooms that keep changing as the hallway is generated anew, and when something is off you point your camera at it and mark what kind of anomaly it is: an object, an electrical fault, lighting, water, writing on a wall, a missing or deformed room. Each one you capture gives Emily a glimpse of her forgotten past. A sanity meter and an anomaly counter sit at the edge of the screen.

What sets it apart from calmer anomaly games is the entities. Deadly creatures that take the form of Emily's childhood toys roam the loops to stop her, and each has its own mechanics; you use your flashlight, your camera and the doors around you to get through them. The makers say they drew on analog and found footage films such as Skinamarink, liminal spaces and early 2000s supernatural horror, and the whole game is seen through a grainy late-90s VHS filter with a moving handheld camera.

Players call it a clear step up from the first CAPTURED, and some note an endless mode and harder difficulties for replay. It suits fans of The Exit 8 and I'm on Observation Duty who want the same close looking with more story and more danger.

How to play CAPTURED 2

  1. Buy and install CAPTURED 2 from its Steam page (Windows).
  2. Start the story mode and walk through the apartment's hallway with your flashlight.
  3. Study each room for anything that has changed from what is normal.
  4. Point your camera at an anomaly and choose its type in the selector to capture it.
  5. When an entity appears, learn its rules and use your flashlight, camera and doors to survive it.
  6. Keep capturing anomalies to recover Emily's memories and escape the loop.

Tips

  • Learn what each room looks like early on; anomalies are easier to see when you know the normal layout.
  • Pick the anomaly type with care in the selector, since the camera asks you to identify what kind of change it is.
  • Each entity has its own behaviour, so treat a death as a lesson about that creature rather than bad luck.
  • Players say monsters can be turned off if you only want the anomaly hunt.
  • Once the story is done, the endless mode and harder difficulties add replay.
