From The Darkness is a first-person horror game by N4bA, released on Steam in March 2021. Its maker describes it as a psychological horror game that focuses on scaring the player through atmosphere, and it takes about an hour to finish.

You arrive at the abandoned apartment of your deceased grandfather in an old Soviet building, there only to pick up an old family album. Most of the game is spent walking through the flat and exploring its rooms: worn wallpaper, a cramped kitchen, old clothes and toys left where they were. Then strange things begin to happen, and it becomes clear that the one who lives in darkness will not let you leave so easily.

Your task is to get out alive, and the store is plain that this can only be done by meeting the inhabitant of the darkness face to face. There are no weapons and nothing to fight with; the fear comes from the dark rooms and what might be in them.

It suits players who want a short, cheap haunting in an ordinary home, in the vein of Visage, that can be finished in one evening. The store warns of flashing lights that can cause seizures.
