What frightens Three streamers split up inside a dark, abandoned shopping mall are hunted by its monkey mascot, a cartoon character that reveals red eyes and a mouth of bloody fangs; you cannot fight it, so you run and hide while searching by flashlight for a way out.

Content: sexual content, partial nudity, bondage imagery, blood, violence.

Livestream 2: Escape from Togaezuka Happy Place is a side-scrolling horror escape game from qureate and the sequel to Livestream: Escape from Hotel Izanami. Three streamers are trapped and separated in an abandoned shopping mall, and you switch between them to find items, solve puzzles and hide from a monkey mascot that hunts them. It contains sexual content: fanservice scenes in which the girls are tied up in revealing poses.

About Livestream 2: Escape from Togaezuka Happy Place

Livestream 2: Escape from Togaezuka Happy Place was published by qureate and developed with Orgesta Inc., released on Nintendo Switch on 21 September 2023 and on PC in October 2023 (Steam and GOG). It follows Livestream: Escape from Hotel Izanami with three new streamers, Himari Aitsuki, Aina Hiiragi and Miyabi Himemiya, voiced by Lynn, Mano Ayumi and Nozomi Yamamoto, with character designs by Waon Inui and a scenario by Takayoshi Muto.

The three come to film in Togaezuka Happy Place, a closed-down shopping mall. At first nothing happens. Then a monkey mascot appears out of the dark and attacks them, and the girls end up in different parts of the building.

You play in side view through dark shops and corridors lit by a phone's light. Each girl starts in a different place, and you switch between them freely; clues and items one finds can be what another needs, and the puzzles link across the mall. When the mascot shows up, the store's advice is plain: run away immediately and hide. You can be caught a few times before the game ends, but each capture has consequences, and the store says the girls' fates change with your choices.

It is also a fanservice game, as qureate's games are. The store warns of sexual content and nudity, the Switch version is rated for partial nudity and suggestive themes, and the danger scenes show the girls bound with ropes or tape in revealing poses with their underwear showing. Players describe no explicit sex. Reviewers found the mascot more tense than frightening, and Rectify Gaming gave it 8 out of 10 for its character switching and chases. It suits players who liked the first Livestream or the hide-and-run fear of Clock Tower and who are comfortable with that content.

How to play Livestream 2: Escape from Togaezuka Happy Place

  4. When the monkey mascot appears, run at once and find a place to hide until it leaves.
  5. Bring the three girls back together and escape the mall.

Tips

  • Keep a separate save: being caught is allowed a few times, but it has consequences for the story.
  • The mascot can appear without warning in narrow areas; know where the nearest hiding place is before you search a room.
  • Check every girl's area after solving a puzzle; what one finds often opens the way for another.
