What frightens You wake as a maniac's victim locked in a metal cage in an old house in the forest; when he hears noise he comes to check, and any sign of your escape attempt he spots, an opened box or a door left open, earns you an electric shock through the cage.

Content: violence, blood.

Metel - Horror Escape is a first-person horror escape game by Linked Squad. Locked in a cage in a maniac's forest house, you sneak out to find a way free, and when he comes to check you must hide every trace and be back in the cage.

About Metel - Horror Escape

Metel - Horror Escape is a first-person horror escape game by Linked Squad, in Early Access on Steam since August 2020 and also on iPhone and Android. Its store calls it a quest in the horror genre: you are the victim of a maniac hungry for blood and suffering, and you have to get out of his house.

You start locked in a metal cage in an old abandoned house in a forest. You slip out and search the rooms for what you need, but the maniac can hear you. When he does, he comes to see whether everything is in place. Before he arrives you have to undo what you did and get back into the cage. If he finds a single sign, a box you opened or a door you forgot, he punishes you with an electric current through the cage. You have three attempts, and facing him directly is hopeless.

The store plans four levels, each with a different victim, telling how it all started. The pictures show a grim wooden house, cells and a white-bearded man in a red hat.

It is a cousin of Granny and Mr. Meat, with one twist: you are not just hiding from him, you are pretending you never left.

How to play Metel - Horror Escape

  1. Get out of the cage and search the house quietly for tools and items.
  2. Listen for the maniac: noise brings him to check on you.
  3. Before he arrives, close what you opened, put things back and return to the cage.
  4. Use what you find to open the way out and escape the house.
