What frightens One of you starts dead and is the only one who can see the demon hunting the others through a dark haunted house. The ghost cannot be heard; it can only flicker lights, slam doors, scream as a last resort and move the planchette on a Ouija board, while the living try to read the warnings in time before something drags them into the dark.
Content: uses your microphone (voice chat), online play, occult themes.
An online co-op horror game for 2 to 6 players set in a haunted house. One player begins as a ghost who can see the demon and the way out, and must guide the living by Ouija board to gather relics and banish the demon by its true name before sunrise.
About WE ARE SO DEAD
WE ARE SO DEAD is an online co-op horror game by the indie studio REAL PLAYERS, released on Steam in August 2026 for 2 to 6 players.
Each round, one of you starts as a ghost. The ghost can see everything: the demon stalking the house, where it is safe, and the relics the banishing ritual needs. The living can see none of that, and they cannot hear the ghost. Its only ways to reach them are flickering lights, opening and closing doors, passing through them so they feel a chill, a scream as a last resort, and the Ouija board, where it moves the planchette to point, answer yes or no or slowly spell words.
The living carry the relics back to the board one trip at a time while the ghost steers them around dangers they cannot see. The demon is different every time and its rules are hidden, so only the dead learn what it does and where it strikes. Anyone it takes joins the ghosts and adds another voice to the seance. To win, the ghosts read the demon's true name and the living must spell it back correctly on the board. Each banishing opens a deeper floor of the house, nine in all.
It mixes real tension with the comedy of friends misreading the board, in the spirit of Phasmophobia and Lethal Company nights. It needs a group and voice chat.
How to play WE ARE SO DEAD
- Buy it on Steam and start an online lobby with 1 to 5 friends.
- If you are the ghost, search the house for the relics and watch what the demon does.
- Use the Ouija board, lights and doors to tell the living where to go and what to avoid.
- If you are alive, ask the ghost yes-or-no questions, read the board carefully and carry the relics back.
- Once all relics are in, have the ghosts spell the demon's true name and spell it back to banish it before sunrise.
- Banish the demon on each floor to unlock the next, down to the ninth.

Tips
- Agree on simple signals early, such as one flicker for yes and two for no.
- Ask the ghost short yes-or-no questions; spelling takes time you may not have.
- Stay quiet sometimes; the ghost's scream can only be heard if the living are silent.
- If you die, keep playing: the dead are the only ones who can see the danger.
