What frightens You wake from cryo and quickly realise something is wrong aboard the Erebos: the emergency lights are on, the power is down, a crewman lies torn open beside the cryo pods, and something alien with long claws is loose on the ship while you try to work out what happened and stay alive.

Content: blood, gore.

Erebos is a short pixel-art space horror game by mass, made for the PIGSquad Summer Slow Jam. You wake from cryosleep to find something wrong aboard the ship Erebos, and must work out what and stay alive, with six endings to find. It plays in the browser or on Windows, Mac and Linux.

About Erebos

Erebos is a short horror game by mass, made in Godot for the PIGSquad Summer Slow Jam in 2020 and later updated. It was the maker's first game. It plays in the browser, with downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux, and you name your own price.

You wake up from cryosleep and quickly realise that something is amiss on board the Erebos. Why is the emergency light on? Did we lose power? It is up to you to figure out what happened and stay alive.

You walk a lone crewman through side-view pixel-art corridors, cargo bays and cabins in dark blues and emergency red, examining what you find. A body lies torn apart beside the cryo pods, and an alien with long, curved claws is somewhere aboard. Your choices lead to one of six endings, and one needs an item hidden in a crewmate's room.

Players praise its atmosphere and replayed it for the other endings. It suits players who like short, 2D space horror such as 10-103.

How to play Erebos

  3. Press Space or E to interact and Ctrl or Q to examine things.
  4. Explore the ship to work out what happened while you slept.

Tips

  • For ending 5, the maker hints you need an item hidden in Rombo's room.
  • Examine everything; the details tell you what happened.
  • The maker says the download plays better than the browser version.
