Slendrina: The Cellar 2 is the sequel to Slendrina: The Cellar by Dennis Vukanovic, the Swedish developer who publishes as DVloper and made Granny. It came out in 2017, and on Google Play it has more than ten million downloads.

The store puts it simply: it has been a while, and it is time to meet Slendrina in the dark cellar again. She is not alone now. Her mother and her baby are helping her, and the title screen shows all three pale faces floating in the dark of a corridor.

You move through low concrete passages with dirt floors, past a crib, an old wagon wheel, gravestones and a wooden door marked enter at your own risk. Your flashlight lights a small circle ahead. Eight old books are hidden in different places in the cellar, and a counter shows how many you have found; locked doors need keys you must also find.

It is free with ads. It suits players who finished the first Cellar or House of Slendrina and want the same search in the dark with more than one ghost to watch for.

How to play Slendrina: The Cellar 2

1. Switch on your flashlight and start walking the cellar corridors.
2. Find the eight old books hidden around the cellar; the counter at the top tracks them.
3. Pick up keys and use them on the locked doors.
4. Watch for Slendrina, her mother and her baby, and move away when one appears.
5. Collect all eight books to finish the cellar.

Tips

• Learn the corridors near the start; the cellar is a maze of similar passages.
• Keep the flashlight on so you see a ghost before it reaches you.
• Note locked doors as you pass them and come back with keys.
