What frightens Four teenagers break into the ruins of Fredbear and Friends at night, 26 years after the restaurant closed for reasons no one knows, and things do not go as planned: in dark, grimy rooms full of old party tables and gift boxes, a withered rabbit animatronic grins out of a camera feed and something waits in the fog outside.

Content: dark scenes.

Fredbear and Friends: Reboot is a free Five Nights at Freddy's fan game by Rarithlynx, released on Game Jolt in 2017. Four teenagers explore the ruins of a restaurant that closed 26 years ago, in a fully free-roaming first-person game with voice acting and cutscenes, and find that its animatronics are still there.

About Fredbear and Friends: Reboot

Fredbear and Friends: Reboot is a fan game set in the world of Five Nights at Freddy's, programmed, modelled, textured, animated and scored by Rarithlynx, with a story by Secundus, animatronic models by several artists and a large cast of voice actors. It went up on Game Jolt in 2016, and the full game was released at the end of 2017, a free download for Windows of about 770 MB.

It has been 26 years since Fredbear and Friends, the restaurant that once brought joy and happiness, was shut down for unknown reasons. Four daring teenagers decide to visit its ruins at night. Things do not go as they planned.

The maker lists high-quality visuals, voice acting, full free roam and cutscenes. The screenshots show what that means: a first-person walk through dim, rubbish-strewn corridors, a party room of balloons and gift boxes, an old security office with a computer and a camera feed in which a withered rabbit animatronic grins back, and a misty wood outside. It is a dark game, so turn the brightness up.

It suits players who like the free-roaming side of Five Nights at Freddy's fan games, in the line of Those Nights at Fredbear's and The Joy of Creation.
