Freddy's: Reanimated is a fan game by Shady Stork Games that reimagines the first Five Nights at Freddy's by Scott Cawthon with a completely different story, different mechanics, a different map, different character designs and, its makers promise, a much more challenging experience. A demo came out on Game Jolt on Halloween 2024, and the full game followed in March 2025; both are free Windows downloads.

It has been a decade since Freddy's closed its doors, and you are here, at that damned establishment, on a cold night, wondering whether the grisly rumours were true. As a security guard your job is straightforward: keep a close eye on the cameras, look out for suspicious activity, and do not let anything get into your office.

The makers stress a heavy emphasis on watching the cameras, unique mechanics for each character, a much different atmosphere and play that goes beyond five nights. The screenshots show a cramped, photographic office with a hand-drawn map of the building taped to the door, a monitor on a cluttered desk, and the redesigned cast: a pink rabbit leering through the window, a dark bear leaning in at the door, and the band on a starry stage.

It suits Five Nights at Freddy's players who know the original well and want it harder and stranger, with what the makers call a fresh take on the lore behind familiar mascot faces.

How to play Freddy's: Reanimated

1. Download the full game from its Game Jolt page and run it on Windows; the original demo is offered too.
2. Watch the cameras for suspicious activity and track where each character is.
3. Learn each character's own mechanic and how to stop it.
4. Keep anything from getting into your office until the night ends.
5. Push on past the fifth night; the game goes beyond it.
